In fact, she auditioned for two other characters before becoming the overachieving college student. Crowder was destined for Diana but reveals to POPSUGAR that she could have taken on a much different role in the series. The 25-year-old actor stars on the series, based on Carola Lovering’s 2018 novel of the same name, as Stephen’s (Jackson White) ex-girlfriend Diana, who finds herself stuck in the middle of his tumultuous relationship with Lucy ( Grace Van Patten).
